The Year 1 children embraced autumn by using blackberries to create their own tie dye flags.
First, they wrapped string around pieces of cloth before squashing the blackberries to release as much juice as possible. They then placed the cloth into the blackberry juice, making sure each piece was fully submerged, and left them overnight.
The next day, they unwrapped the string to reveal the patterns. Each flag was completely unique!
