U10 Cricket v Bablake
On Monday 15 June, the U10 cricket teams travelled to Bablake for a competitive fixture. On challenging wickets, the A team won comfortably with strong batting and the Bs narrowly lost.
U11 Cricket v Bluecoat
On Wednesday 17 June, the Year 6 girls teamed up with Warwick Junior School for some mixed cricket fixtures against The Blue Coat. They played a combination of hardball and softball matches with some children travelling to Blue Coat and some children welcoming Blue Coat’s visiting teams. The afternoon was a great opportunity to play cricket with different people and a fantastic link event with Warwick Junior School.
U9AB Cricket v Bablake
Year 4 enjoyed a lovely afternoon of cricket against Bablake on Friday 19 June. For some girls, it was their first time playing in a pairs cricket fixture. The girls impressed with their keen batting and confident running. The matches ended with one win to Bablake and one win to Prep. Well done to all the girls who took part and thank you to all the parents who came to support.
U11 Tennis Tournament
On Saturday 20 June, we hosted our annual Warwick Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament. Approximately sixty children from seven schools took part in a morning of fun and competitive tennis. Warwick Prep girls partnered with the boys from Warwick Junior School to form Warwick’s mixed doubles teams. The teams impressed and showed brilliant progress from the start of the term. A special congratulations to Bronte and her partner Edward from Warwick Junior School for placing 1st in the A team tournament.
Sports Stars of the Week
Each week during games lessons, PE staff will identify one child from each year group to receive the Sports Star of the Week award. These will be announced in the following week’s games lesson, displayed on the sports noticeboard and publicised in Squirrel News.
