U11ABC Hockey v Bablake
On Wednesday 17 September, our U11 A, B and C teams travelled to Bablake for a series of hockey fixtures. All three teams showed not only brilliant skill but also excellent sportsmanship throughout the afternoon.
The A team impressed with their ability to keep their structure and worked as a team to create a solid defence. They won 2-0. The B team used quick, accurate passing, showing great awareness and teamwork to secure a 3-0 win. The C team scored an impressive five goals, earning them a convincing 5-0 win.
Well done to all the girls involved and a big thank you to the parents who came to show their support.
Sports Stars of the Week
Each week during games lessons, PE staff will identify one child from each year group to receive the Sports Star of the Week award. These will be announced in the following week’s games lesson, displayed on the sports noticeboard and publicised in Squirrel News.
Congratulations to this week’s Sports Stars of the Week:
• Year 3: Cassie for excellent intensity and effort during the warm-up
• Year 4: Beth for her tactical thinking skills during matchplay
• Year 5: Lucy for taking on feedback well and using new skills in a small-sided game
• Year 6: Avani M for answering lots of questions in hockey session and playing effectively during small-sided games, demonstrating good awareness and strength.
