U10 Football Tournament
On Saturday 15 March, the U10 team had a great morning of football, showing great progress in every game. Facing a strong Year 6 team in their opening match, they battled hard but narrowly lost. After reflecting on their performance and identifying areas for improvement, they bounced back impressively, securing 7-0 and 5-2 victories in their next two games. All the girls should be proud of their performances and the progress they made throughout the tournament!
U11 Netball
On Wednesday 19 March, the U11 D team secured a 4-1 win, showing great improvement in using the wings effectively. Outstanding two-handed interceptions limited the opposition’s chances and the girls worked hard as a team, each trying out different positions.
Meanwhile, the U11 A, B, and C teams delivered strong performances against various Fairfield teams. They showcased impressive attacking play, with plenty of combinations taking to the court.
Sports Stars of the Week
Each week during games lessons, PE staff will identify one child from each year group to receive the Sports Star of the Week award. These will be announced in the following week’s games lesson, displayed on the sports noticeboard and publicised in Squirrel News.

• Year 3: Tara for great footwork and defensive effort
• Year 4: Amelia for fantastic work improving her ability to receive the ball on the move and making increasingly effective connections with her teammates
• Year 6: Prabhjot for amazing two-handed interceptions in her match, and for being so happy all of the time!
