U11 Football v Telford Junior School
On Friday 16 January, the Warwick Prep U11 football team travelled to Leamington for an evening match played under the lights. It was a very encouraging performance throughout, with Warwick Prep taking the lead early in the second half after the away goalkeeper made several excellent saves in the opening stages.
A breakaway goal midway through the second half saw Warwick Prep go 2–0 up. Although the opposition pulled one goal back, a further strike towards the end of the match sealed a deserved 3–1 victory. It was a great team performance.
U11ABCDEFG Netball vs Bablake
On Wednesday 21 January, the E netball team enjoyed a strong match against Bablake, showing excellent passing and good movement down the court. Consistent defensive pressure created plenty of opportunities to turn the ball over, although Bablake responded well, meaning much of the game was played in the centre third. Well done to Savannah for player of the match.
The F team showed some great team work against Bablake and worked hard for each other in attack and defence, creating chances which unfortunately Bablake were on top of, thus limiting goal scoring chances. Player of the match went to Eliska.
