Nutkins is a fun and informal activity group for you and your little one, designed as an introduction before they start at The Squirrels Nursery the following September.
We understand that for some children, the transition to full time nursery can feel a little daunting. Nutkins helps both children and parents explore the world of learning together, fostering a positive attitude to school life from the very start.
These fun and supportive sessions run on Thursday mornings during term time, from 9.15am and last about an hour. A specialist team of staff, many of whom also work in The Squirrels Nursery, lead a variety of activities for parents and children to enjoy.
Children develop physical skills on the large soft play equipment, take part in games, and make lots of new friends, while parents have the chance to get to know our experienced team and explore our bright, spacious nursery.
Each morning includes stories, songs, rhymes and refreshments, both inside the nursery and outdoors in the garden, Special sessions feature visits from our Early Years music teacher and opportunities to explore our Forest School. A small party or mini Sports Day is also held at the end of each term.
